We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our Production Organisation in Rotterdam.


Your role is to act as a local project manager in the global learning experience platform implementation, lead local learning solution development, and advocate building of the learning culture, and support the organisation by leading the development of training solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.


In this position you will work closely with Supervisors, People Managers, and Shift trainers offering facilitation and coaching. Also, Department Heads for decisions and resources for development work.

Your role in creating a sustainable future


  • Responsible for development and continuous improvement of learning solutions: From recognizing the learning need, to identifying the right solution, and leading the learning solution development process.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and executing training management structures and programs in the learning management system ensuring alignment with global and local procedures and practices.
  • Act as a project manager in projects with internal and external stakeholders: Coordinate and review the learning and development programs training material content to ensure the high quality from an adult learning point of view.
  • Analyse the results and report and communicate L&D development and progress to line and site managers throughout the Rotterdam
  • Accountable to design, review, produce and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, classroom training and other training activities as required.
  • Identifying the best training methodology
  • Develop and implement training, coaching and assessment programmes.
  • Analyse data and justify decisions.
  • Ability to design concepts and communicate ideas for stakeholders.

The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Minimum Bachelor`s degree from the relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years versatile work experience with min 2 years experience of development work.
  • Experience and interest in developing learning solution
  • Understanding of adult learning principles
